Join us to celebrate all things poetry and spoken word related during this evening of local artists and creative authors.
Hospice Hope are running a poetry competition for young people aged 7-11. The three winners of the competition will have their poem read out by a professional actor and spoken word artist.
There will be an open mic spot for a few local poets to WOW you with their beautiful and intriguing poems.
Coal Tits: Fresh from Timber Festival they put scintilating poetry to beautiful music.
Sam Girdham is the theatre manager as well as being a professional actor and writer. She will be celebrating National Poetry Day and Black History Month by performing some of her own work and reading some work form her favourite black poets such as Maya Angelou and Jackie Kay.

This event is due to take place on our mezzanine level which has no disabled access but can still be enjoyed from the bar area, so please enquire for disabled access requirements at the ticket office.
