The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Leicester College Presents:

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Six unusual young teenagers compete against each other in the spelling championship of a lifetime!

When they are not being upfront about hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, they are spelling their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, at the same time hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming 'ding' of the bell that means they have made a mistake...

Six of them enter the spelling bee; one by one they are disappointed -  at least the losers get a box of juice!

This show is a riotous ride, complete with audience participation. With a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, first directed on Broadway by James Lapine (remember Into the Woods, Little Miss Sunshine and many more), this bee is one unforgettable experience.

This show is destined to become a sure-fire favourite with musical theatre companies up and down the land.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a rollicking crowd pleaser - be one of the first to see it!
