Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, Jonathan Larson’s RENT chronicles a year in the life of young, impoverished artists and musicians as they navigate the challenges of creativity and survival in the Lower East Side, amidst the looming threat of HIV/AIDS. It’s theatre at its finest – exuberant, moving, passionate, and full of joy.
