Century Youth Theatre

We believe every young person has something valuable to bring to the creative process, that’s why we established our Century Youth Theatre.

Our weekly sessions help young people gain confidence, communication skills, creativity and performance techniques in a supportive and welcoming space.

Our members are encouraged to take ownership of the creative process, helping generate ideas and shape stories. This helps them develop valuable life skills while having fun and being part of an inspiring theatre community. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying theatre for the first time, you’ll be encouraged to explore your potential and express your ideas.

Weekly Sessions (Term Time only)

Key Stage 2-3 Group (Juniors)

Tuesdays, 7.30pm – 9pm

A fun and imaginative introduction to theatre where young people are encouraged to explore their ideas, work together and contribute to the creation of original performances.

Key Stage 4-5+ Group (Senior)

Thursdays, 7.15pm to 9.15pm

Designed for older students looking to develop their performance abilities and deepen their understanding of theatre. Ideal for those pursuing theatre as a hobby, preparing for drama studies or simply wanting to grow in confidence and creativity.

More Than Acting

Sessions are flexible so we can react to the interests and strengths of each group. While performance is often a key focus, participants can also explore areas including:

  • Technical theatre
  • Set and prop design
  • Costume and makeup
  • Directing and stage management

Performance opportunities

Members work towards two to three performances per year, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work and celebrate everything they’ve achieved. These performances help young people develop resilience, teamwork and self-belief while creating unforgettable memories.
